Andrew Pratt is a Senior Director with FTI Consulting’s Construction and Government Contracts practice and is based in Atlanta. Andrew has more than thirty years of experience in the construction industry in dispute avoidance and the preparation/defense of construction claims, expert witness reporting/testimony, litigation support, schedule delay analysis, cost damages analysis, and the commercial/contractual management of major construction projects - ranging in value from $500,000 to $5 billion.
Andrew has a broad spectrum of US and International experience, which has been gained on a variety of standard and custom contract forms and procurement methods, on projects located in: the United States; United Kingdom; Saudi Arabia; Germany; India; Italy; Ghana; Madagascar; Newfoundland; Chile; and Peru. He is an experienced practitioner in dispute avoidance and resolution, and the commercial and contractual management of construction projects. Andrew is professionally certified through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is a Certified Forensic Claims Consultant with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACEi).
Andrew works directly with contractors, owners, sureties, and their attorneys to provide dispute management, construction management and CPM scheduling services. He performs analyses to determine additional time and/or cost impacts to a construction project as a result of changes, additional work, delays, losses in labor productivity, acceleration, etc. and also advises contractors and owners on claims management and documentation. Andrew has reported and testified in mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation proceedings. He has also represented clients in UK adjudication proceedings.
Andrew’s previous experience as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Construction Company Director included the commercial and contractual management of construction projects, the implementation of financial controls and management reporting, cost/value reconciliation reporting; and materials and subcontract procurement.
As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Andrew has represented owners on the procurement of multiple construction projects from initial feasibility and cost-planning stages, through construction and financial close-out.
