Colin Wilson is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting. He is a member of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice and is based in Dubai. Colin is a quantity surveyor and has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
For the past 15 years, he has worked for consulting organizations where he has worked on behalf of contractors, developers and government entities on projects throughout the UK and internationally in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
Colin has extensive experience in the preparation and rebuttal of claims as well as the provision of contractual and commercial advice. He has worked on a number of high value and complex projects including major airports, educational facilities, high rise buildings, hospitals, hotels, offices, oil and gas facilities, roads and bridges, residential developments, retail developments, sewage treatment plants and tunnels.
Colin's claims and dispute experience includes the preparation and rebuttal of claims for additional costs. He has also provided quantum support to lawyers in dispute resolution proceedings and has assisted in the preparation of expert reports.
Colin also has significant commercial management and contract administration experience which includes acting for an international contractor in the assessment of major variations on a major retail development in the Middle East and the quantification of risks in a UK contractor’s existing and legacy projects. He has also provided contractual and commercial advice to a variety of international and local contractors and subcontractors.
