David Savage is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in London. He is a member of the Transaction Services practice. Mr. Savage has more than 10 years of experience in transaction services, financial accounting and business analysis. He has focused on top-tier private equity clients who invest across the full spectrum of industries and has been involved in numerous transactions advising both private equity and corporate clients.
Mr. Savage’s acquisition advisor experience includes advising Mayfair Equity Partners on its £80 million acquisition of Yo! Sushi in 2015, as well as its proposed £50 million acquisition of MPM pet food in 2016, advising TPG in relation to its proposed USD$450 million acquisition of a major Ukrainian consumer goods business and advising B&B Investment Partners on its £20 million acquisition of Aromatherapy Associates.
He has conducted vendor due diligence (VDD) for Shiva Hotels in relation to its planned disposal of a portfolio of Hilton and Ramada branded sites, for IK in relation to its €550 million disposal of Magotteaux and for a Belgium-based global manufacturing business and Doughty Hanson on its sale of HellermannTyton, a global manufacturing business. He also conduced VDD for Universal in relation to its successful €500 million disposal of EMI Music’s European arm and for Cinven in relation to its €1.9 billon disposal of Ahlsell, the Swedish wholesale building materials group.
Mr. Savage also advised Interxion on its announced £2.9 billion merger with TelecityGroup and conducted an Independent business review for a leading European bank for the financial restructuring of a major High Street retail chain.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting as a founding member of the Transaction Services team, Mr. Savage led engagements throughout Europe and the U.S. at KPMG’s London-based Private Equity Transaction Services group and the Brisbane Audit practice.
Mr. Savage holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Science in Information Technology from the University of Queensland. He is a Chartered Accountant.
