George Theocharopoulos specializes in providing a broad suite of M&A services to buy- and sell-side corporate and private equity clients, such as operational and synergy due diligence, integration and separation planning, Day 1 and cutover readiness, post-close transition and execution. Mr. Theocharopoulos has more than 20 years of M&A and operational performance improvement experience in industry and consulting.
Mr. Theocharopoulos has led complex, global M&A transactions, and operational restructuring and turnaround efforts across industries. He supports clients throughout the deal lifecycle, from deal strategy and operational diligence, Day 1 planning and readiness through post-close stabilization and transformation execution.
Mr. Theocharopoulos has deep experience in architecting, implementing and leading the Integration/Separation Management Office, leveraging a tailored approach to address the needs of each client.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Theocharopoulos was with RSM, leading the build-out of the synergy diligence practice for private equity clients within RSM’s financial diligence practice. He has also spent more than seven years with Deloitte Consulting and KPMG, leading and supporting various marquee global deals across industries, mainly focusing on integration and separation assessment, operating model design, and sign to close planning and readiness.
During Mr. Theocharopoulos' time at KPMG, he contributed significantly to the growth of KPMG’s insurance deal advisory practice, developing strong relationships with leading insurers while supporting them in a number of transformative deals. During his time at Deloitte, he acquired experience in a variety of industries, including technology and telecom, banking, hospitality and leisure, internet retailing.
Mr. Theocharopoulos started his career in industry, spending 11 years in multiple management and leadership roles obtaining a great deal of hands-on acquisition integration experience. He supported the operational integration of the procurement, manufacturing, commercial and back-office functions in the chemicals, consumer packaged goods, building materials and technical services industries, while improving performance and meeting aggressive transformation deadlines. Thus acquiring significant experience in identifying, quantifying and realizing value through rigorous execution and change management.
