On December 17, 2013, Gerard E. Holthaus assumed the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the FTI Consulting Board of Directors. He has been a Director at the Company since 2004 and has served as Presiding Director since 2006. He has also served as the Chair of the Audit Committee and currently serves as a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.
Mr. Holthaus serves as the Independent Lead Director, Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee of WillScot Mobile Mini Corp. Previously he served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of WillScot Corp. from November 2017 up and until Mobile Mini’s merger into WillScot Corp. in July 2020. Prior to November 2017, Mr. Holthaus served as Non-Executive Chairman of Algeco Scotsman Global S.á.r.l. and its holding company, Algeco/Scotsman Holdings S.a.r.l., positions that he held since April 2010. From October 2007 to April 2010, Mr. Holthaus held the positions of Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Algeco Scotsman Global S.a.r.l.
Mr. Holthaus is non-executive Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Life Companies, a mutual life insurance company. He is also a director of Nesco Holdings, Inc., a specialty equipment rental provider to the electric utility transmission and distribution, telecom and rail industries in North America.
Mr. Holthaus was Senior Vice President of MNC Financial Inc. from 1988 to 1994. From 1971 to 1988, he was associated with Ernst & Young LLP, where he served as a Baltimore-based partner from 1982 to 1988.
Mr. Holthaus graduated from Loyola University Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant.
