Giles Dixon is a Senior Director in the Clean Energy industry practice within the Turnaround & Restructuring practice. He has over 10 years of consulting and investment experience in the global clean energy sector, with expertise in a number of technologies including offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, biomass, wave, tidal and CCS.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Giles was at PwC LLP where he provided strategy and commercial advice to the renewable energy sector. Earlier in his career, Giles worked for HSBC Plc as an International Manger and undertook a range of assignments across corporate, institutional and commercial banking functions. He subsequently joined a UK developer of renewable energy projects as its corporate finance manager where he was responsible for managing a range of assets both in operation and under development. Giles then joined Man Eco, the clean energy investment arm of Man Group Plc, where he focused on identifying and assessing international opportunities to invest in onshore wind, solar and biomass projects.
Giles’s previous clients have included utilities, IPPs, developers, energy companies, investors, lenders and government agencies across a number of international markets including the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Giles holds an M.A. in economics from the University of St Andrews and an M.Sc. in finance from the London Business School. His consulting experience includes advising on renewable energy technology and economics, corporate strategy formulation, policy development, strategic market entry, investment analysis and undertaking due diligence reviews on behalf of investors, project developers and lenders.
