Glenn Barden

Glenn Barden is a certified Relativity Master, with extensive E-discovery experience. He is an expert in advising clients on using technology to defensibly reduce data volumes and quickly locate key material during reviews. Glenn has led teams working on some of the highest-profile investigation, arbitration and regulatory matters in both the UK and across Europe.

Glenn has been at the forefront in the application of advanced analytics for discovery purposes in the UK for the last 12 years. He has developed cutting-edge methodologies using these techniques and has provided expert industry analysis on the effectiveness of approaches to the European Commission.

Glenn specialises in proactively advising on defensible, but proportionate disclosure, as well as challenging technical output and analytics methodologies used in opponents' disclosure. He has experience in disclosing to multiple regulators, including the CMA, DG COMP, the FTC and the DOJ.

As part of Glenn's  role, he has led matters across a vast range of industries including financial services, life sciences, aviation, insurance and within the government and public sector.

Prior to Glenn'  time at FTI Consulting, he was a manager in the Forensic Technology and Discovery Services team at EY where he formed part of the Relativity leadership team and led the creation of marketing material for emerging technology.

Relevant Experience:

• Writing expert testimony on the deficiencies of a third party’s use of Relativity Active Learning
• Vast experience on cross-jurisdiction engagements, notably in Belgium, Russia and Sweden, ensuring local regulation compliance, whilst reducing data volumes through blind cross-platform deduplication
• Leading a media-sensitive criminal investigation involving the collection, scanning, review strategy and production of paper material on the client’s site
• Customising Relativity to enable class action parties to upload material directly to the platform, where it was automatically analysed for completeness
• A matter involving 20 million documents in six languages that required a review prioritisation mechanism to be created, so that material could be disclosed with translations in a two-month period.
