Greg Kuhn is a Managing Director in the Business Transformation practice and specializes in Technology Transformation. He has over 30 years of experience in IT and has consulted with a wide range of small, mid-market and global companies. He has deep experience across multiple industries, including software, utilities, financial services, airlines, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services and interactive entertainment.
Mr. Kuhn is an expert in enterprise-wide application implementation programs. He has extensive experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) program leadership across the entire quote-to-cash lifecycle, including customer relationship management, order management, sourcing, fulfillment and accounts receivable.
Mr. Kuhn specializes in mergers, carve-outs, cost optimization, IT due diligence, digital transformation, IT strategic and financial planning, process improvement and red flag program assessments. He conducted an agile software development and digital transformation project for an asset bid management web application and created enterprise business and technical architectures and IT strategy roadmaps for multiple small businesses, non-governmental organizations and non-profits, including emerging technologies assessments and recommendations.
Mr. Kuhn has a deep background in systems development life cycle projects, from initial strategy through analysis, design, build and implementation. He took over, re-planned and successfully executed a major nuclear power plant program that had failed and has specialized experience in integration and transition issues, including managing large- scale acceptance testing. He has led several dry-runs of a cutover to production and provided analysis and guidance to senior management on the firm’s readiness to go live with a mission-critical system.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Kuhn served as the Vice President of Development for Scaleform Corporation, a tools and middleware supplier for the interactive entertainment industry, where he performed as an expert negotiator focused on mutually-beneficial, durable agreements. In this role, he negotiated enterprise agreements with Global 1000 firms, including Sony, Microsoft, Disney, Activision, Bechtel and Dassault.
Before that, Mr. Kuhn was a Vice President at Oracle Corporation and built and led a group of 250 consulting professionals in practice areas including ERP solutions, architecture, high-performance computing, web development and data warehouse/decision support systems. While at Oracle, he led a change management and communications initiative for a global, multi-disciplinary program. He also provided expert facilitation for cross-functional teams that needed to reconcile naturally conflicting agendas for a wide array of clients.
Mr. Kuhn began his consulting career in the IT Advisory practice at EY where he focused on merger integration in the airline industry. He holds a B.A. in Management Sciences from Duke University and an M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
