As Managing Director of FTI Consulting’s Government Relations team, Mr. Murray advises executives, boards of directors, and senior decision makers on public policy issues that pose opportunities and challenges to their organizations’ enterprise values.

Mr. Murray focuses primarily on serving clients in the fields of energy, technology, manufacturing, and consumer products. During his service in Congress as and as a consultant, he has been actively involved in several major legislative efforts, including consumer products, energy legislation and the appropriations bills through Fiscal Year (FY) 2018. In addition, Mr. Murray specializes in coordinating clients’ interests with Democrats in the House and Senate, specializing in Moderates and Millennials – the fastest growing segments of decision makers in Congress.

In 2011 Mr. Murray founded Center Forward, a non-profit 501 [c][4] organization that brings together members of Congress, not-for profits, academic experts, trade associations, corporations and unions to find common ground, and currently serves on the board of directors and as their treasurer. He is also co-founder of the Future Forum Foundation, along with former Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-FL). The Future Forum Foundation serves as the policy partner with the Future Forum caucus, 28 Millennial members of the Democratic caucus that are emerging as future leaders and policy makers within the Democratic party.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Murray was a Partner with the C2 Group, a Top 20 lobbying firm sold to FTI Consulting in 2012. Mr. Murray also served as Legislative Director for Congressman Bill Brewster (D-OK), a Member of the Ways and means Committee and Chief of Staff for Congressman Bud Cramer (D-AL), a member on the Appropriations Committee and the Select Committee on Intelligence. In addition, Mr. Murray also served for six years as Government Relations Director for the American Gas Association (AGA), Executive Director of the GASPAC, and Executive Director of the AGA Foundation a 501 [c][3].

Mr. Murray completed his undergraduate studies at University of the South (Sewanee) and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is married to Liz Murray a top Republican fundraiser in Washington D.C.
