Jerry Davis is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice and is based in Atlanta. Mr. Davis is a member of the FTI Consulting Healthcare Solutions group. He has extensive senior executive leadership experience within the large academic physician and multi-specialty practice environments. Mr. Davis’ expertise includes managing multiple business units of significant size and scope, as well as experience with the negotiation, mergers and acquisitions of physician practices, revenue cycle, operational improvement and information technology.

Most recently, Mr. Davis was the senior director of clinical operations for Emory Healthcare, the largest academic medical center in the state of Georgia. He was the key change agent reporting to the chief operating officer and physician chief executive officer with assignments for revenue cycle optimization of $1.2 billion revenue base, patient access coordination and call center consolidation for 30 specialties, and revenue management across multiple legal entities and tax identifiers. Mr. Davis managed resources of 400 full-time equivalents and $23 million annual budget across four operating units, where he was able to achieve more than 30 accounts received days revenue cycle performance for six consecutive years.

Contemporaneously, Mr. Davis was also the chief administrative officer for the Emory outreach community physician practice model, where he was responsible for overall financial and operational performance. This group employed 100 providers with more than $100 million in annual revenues. He was given full responsibility for the acquisition and integration of new practices into the organization and also managing the revenue cycle, finance, human resources, legal and information technology services provided to practice members.

In addition, Mr. Davis has extensive healthcare advisory experience. He has led contingency-based projects to reward outcomes tied to tangible improvements, served in dual capacity to both information systems and business process service lines. Other areas of focus have included revenue cycle improvement and cash acceleration projects, systems implementation and conversions with large scale hospital information system vendors.

Mr. Davis holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in marketing from the University of South Alabama. He has successfully attained both Lawson and PeopleSoft application and module certifications.
