About Micah
Micah Trilling is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in San Francisco. For 20 years, Mr. Trilling has provided litigation consulting, forensic accounting, and financial analysis for complex litigation matters, investigations, and corporate finance operations. He is particularly adept at analyzing large volumes of data and complex transactions and translating the results into plain language summaries and visual representations.
Mr. Trilling has extensive experience assisting legal counsel in white-collar defense, securities, and other commercial litigation matters. In connection with these matters, he has performed contemporaneous market research, improved relevancy of discovery requests, led the review and analysis of large volumes of documents, models, and structured data, and advised Counsel in settlement discussions. As cases progressed, Mr. Trilling has identified top industry and academic candidates to provide expert testimony, led research teams on behalf of experts, drafted expert reports, assisted with Daubert motions, and helped prepare expert witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
Mr. Trilling also helps Counsel conduct high-stakes forensic investigations of alleged financial and accounting fraud and regulatory improprieties involving non-financial disclosures and sales practices. On such matters, Mr. Trilling has developed targeted procedures and searches, supervised collection of emails, structured data, and documents, performed data analytics, reconstructed complex financial transactions, interviewed witnesses, and helped Counsel present findings to corporate boards and regulators.
In addition to providing consulting services, Mr. Trilling has served as a financial analyst in multinational corporations, where he consolidated and analyzed data from large-scale disparate operations systems, and performed budgeting and forecasting, capital allocation, and accounting functions.
