Nicole Horton specializes in providing financial and strategic solutions to companies, their creditors and investors. Ms. Horton has worked with public and private companies across various sectors, with significant expertise in the financial services industry. In addition, she has industry experience in retail, consumer products, manufacturing, agriculture and real estate, among others.
Ms. Horton has provided restructuring, strategy, and transaction advisory services to a wide variety of constituents, including senior management, boards of directors, creditors and private equity. Her clients range from small- and medium-sized companies to complex global enterprises. Ms. Horton is also a member of FTI Capital Advisors, LLC, FTI Consulting’s investment banking subsidiary.
In recent engagements focused on the financial services industry, Ms. Horton primarily served clients in the banking sector. She developed strategic alternatives and assessed company resiliency in challenging economic and market environments. Ms. Horton also played an integral role in the development of recovery and resolution plans for designated financial institutions, and she presented to regulatory agencies and industry groups and at business roundtables.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Horton was a Managing Director in Ernst & Young LLP’s strategy and transaction practice and was part of the Financial Services Office and restructuring team. She received numerous awards during her tenure for both individual and team performance. In addition, Ms. Horton participated in leadership roles in designing and implementing business initiatives and market solutions. She began her career as a commercial banker, with experience in trade finance, foreign exchange trading, lending and loan workouts.
Ms. Horton has been a speaker on industry and restructuring topics at regional and national conferences and has published a number of articles. She participates in various community service and diversity initiatives and is an international affairs advisory board member for the University of Kansas.
