Peter McKenzie is a Managing Director in the Business Transformation practice and specializes in operations and corporate strategy. He has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, project management, shared services and IT transformation. Mr. McKenzie has deep industry experience in energy, specifically within the utilities and oil and gas sectors.
Mr. McKenzie has expansive experience in conceiving, planning and executing new business models and increasing returns from existing models. He has a successful track record of forming, building, mentoring and sustaining professional services operations and has been recognized for his ability to grow businesses in the professional services sector.
Having worked with many Fortune 500 companies, Mr. McKenzie brings significant value to teams by primarily focusing on the deployment and development of professionals to drive successful business strategies.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. McKenzie was an Independent Consultant where he worked with several private equity-sponsored mid-stream/range Texas-based energy companies to assist in the formation of their strategy around shared services support organizations. Before that, he served as the Vice President and Energy Industry Leader of Expert Global Solutions until it was sold to Allorica, Inc. He has also held senior positions at IBM, Dell Services and EDS Corporation. Additionally, Mr. McKenzie served as a Political Appointee to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation during the George H. W. Bush presidency.
Mr. McKenzie holds a B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin. He is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the sponsor of the AT&T Byron Nelson, and a member of the President’s Advisory Board of UT Southwestern Medical Center.
