Simi Kabo is a Senior Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Rockville. He is a member of the Construction Solutions practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment.
Mr. Kabo has experience in providing contract claims assistance and litigation support services relating to the calculation and approach to damages. He provides consulting services in areas such as indirect rate analysis, assistance with DCAA audits, CAS compliance reviews, bid protests and preparation of claims in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation. In addition, he consults on enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft, including reviewing business processes, reconciling SAP interfaces, modules and assessing system controls.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in June 2014, Mr. Kabo was at the International Monetary Fund where he managed trust funds financed by a consortium of countries.
Mr. Kabo consults on a broad range of damages issues primarily in the construction and government contracting industry. This includes auditing large claims filed by contractors or owners. Before joining the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Kabo was a Financial Manager at M.C. Dean, Inc. He provided guidance in areas of financial reporting and compliance with Federal government procurement and accounting regulations (FAR, DFAR, and CAS). His experience includes projects in the following areas: security, life safety, critical power, electrical, telecommunication, transportation, automation systems, as well as civil and mechanical.
Mr. Kabo is a CPA, CMA, PMP, CGMA, CFE and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Project Management Institute- Washington DC Chapter. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Section of Public Contract Law.
