Vincent Varca is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice and is based in New York. Mr. Varca is a member of the Structured Finance group and possesses more than 20 years of mortgage related experience. His expertise includes mortgage backed securitization, warehouse financing, conduit execution and ongoing management, and new business development. During his career, he has executed more than 150 securitizations and developed sub-prime mortgage and commercial conduits.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Varca was a senior member at WaMu Capital’s Mortgage Finance group in New York where he was instrumental in the firm’s growth as a broker-dealer. His responsibilities included securitization of residential prime, sub-prime and commercial mortgages.

In addition to his residential experience, Mr. Varca has extensive commercial experience. As a director in the Commercial Real Estate group at UBS, he was primarily focused on multi-family and retail mortgage origination and conduit financing. Under the conduit umbrella, Mr. Varca advised a major pension fund on optimal leverage for more than $1 billion in commercial real estate (non-mortgage) holdings. In addition, a commercial mortgage warehousing line of credit was created for an investment bank, which resulted in $4 billion in aggregate funding.

Before that, Mr. Varca spent 14 years at Salomon Brothers, now known as Citigroup, in the Residential Mortgage Finance group, where he focused on mortgage whole loan transactions, warehousing, servicing transactions, agency and private label securitization, client relationship and business development.

Mr. Varca holds an M.B.A. in financial management from the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University in New York and a B.A. in economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
