Bill Clogg is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Chicago. He is a member of the Transaction Services practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Mr. Clogg has more than 20 years of professional experience, primarily involved in the merger and acquisition arena.
Mr. Clogg is experienced at managing acquisition due diligence teams for buy-side and sell-side transactions, and he currently leads the firm’s sell-side and vendor due diligence initiative. He has a strong track record of performance in business transformation situations (i.e., merger integrations, carve-outs and post-deal restructuring) and delivering improvements to operations, profitability and cash flow. Mr. Clogg also has extensive experience across corporate finance, FP&A, financial reporting and treasury.
Mr. Clogg has provided a range of transaction services, including financial due diligence, business plan modeling and reviews, merger integration and restructuring, acquisition accounting advice, post-deal integration assessments and validation of merger synergies.
Mr. Clogg's expertise includes working with U.S. and internationally-based businesses and private equity firms. Mr. Clogg has significant cross-border experience, having led engagements in more than 20 countries.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Clogg was a Director in the Transaction Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the U.S. and Europe.
Before that, Mr. Clogg was the Controller and Treasurer for a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, which grew from $600 million to more than $2 billion in revenue through mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Clogg holds a B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Chicago and Detroit chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth.
