Yaser Dajani is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. He is the Head of Middle East Forensic & Litigation Consulting and is based in Dubai. Yaser leads the firm’s Global Risks and Investigations Practice (GRIP) in the Middle East and North Africa and oversees a team of business intelligence specialists and forensic investigators in London and Dubai. He has spent over a decade in the UAE, covering all jurisdictions across the MENA Region, with a particular focus on the GCC, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt and advises multinationals, government agencies, and regional conglomerates with diverse business portfolios.
Yaser specializes in the management of complex, cross-border transactional and non-transactional business intelligence assignments and works closely with senior management and legal counsel on the identification and mitigation of counterparty risks.
Yaser has managed a variety of internal investigations on behalf of clients, focused on corporate misconduct and financial manipulation, and employee wrongdoing, in particular fraud, corruption, gross embezzlement and conflicts of interest. In this capacity, Yaser has acted as an expert witness in numerous criminal proceedings in the Gulf and worked with local counsel and the offices of the Public Prosecutor in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, dealing with the most sensitive and high profile assignments in the region.
Yaser is considered an expert in dispute advisory work and litigation-support projects and has worked closely with clients to provide actionable intelligence and solutions to support legal proceedings. He has also been involved in a wide variety of asset-tracing and recovery programs to facilitate enforcement of legal judgements and arbitration awards.
Yaser has worked on a range of anti-counterfeit projects, particularly within the FMCG and electronics sectors, and advised boards on corporate governance and management of whistle-blowers and the design of internal investigations. Yaser has also been involved in investigations surrounding the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive and confidential information, particularly in the financial services industry.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Yaser was the Managing Director of Kroll Middle East and Head of Kroll’s Dubai Office, and had overseen the expansion of Kroll’s financial investigations and business intelligence teams in Dubai, and, prior to Kroll, he was a senior member of the Corporate Investigations Practice for Control Risks in Dubai.
Yaser holds an MA in Law and Security from King’s College London, and a BA in Political Studies from George Mason University in Northern Virginia. He also received Advanced Training in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Yaser is fluent in both Arabic and English.
