Alicia Boyd

Alicia Boyd is an experienced health leader specialising in digital health strategy, transformation and program delivery. With more than 15 years of experience leading health programs and a background as an occupational therapist, Alicia is uniquely positioned to support transformation needs.

Alicia has worked with public, private, not-for-profit (‘NFP’) and aged care providers to help transform digital platforms and technology into sustainable solutions. With her background as a clinician, she is passionate about prioritising the patient and clinician experience to ensure the success of any strategy or transformation.

Alicia has a proven track record of complex program delivery and transformation. She is known for her expertise in delivering large-scale technology transformation within tertiary hospitals, as well as her ability to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare providers. Her experience as a clinician allows her to effectively work with clinical staff and understand the niche complexities of healthcare programs.

Relevant Experience:

• Served on the leadership team that delivered the integrated electronic medical record (‘ieMR’) Hub & Spoke Transformation to 33 regional, rural and remote hospitals within Queensland Health within two years; the services provided were end-to-end, from initial implementation planning through to project closure; program was awarded the eHealth Queensland Deputy Director General Award in 2024
• Led a confidential project for the digital strategy and implementation planning of an NFP health organisation on its electronic medical record (‘EMR’), patient administration system (‘PAS’) and laboratory information management system (‘LIMS’); also developed the associated business case which was successfully approved by the Board
• Led a confidential project reviewing options and providing a recommendation for an NFP health organisation’s laboratory system and corporate functions systems
• Led and supported various projects with NSW Health, including the statewide medications management transformation, custom solution development for patient deterioration and surgical waitlist
• Led the Eastern Health Box Hill Hospital transformation for Cerner; implemented the full enterprise solution offering; responsible for the end-to-end implementation, leading a team of more than 20 resources
• Led the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse MEDITECH PAS and scheduling transformation; responsible for the end-to-end implementation, leading a team of more than 10 resources
