About Asha
Asha Oberoi is a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Reputation within FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment in Australia. Asha has 25 years of experience in media, digital communications and data research. She advises executives and leadership teams on reputation strategy, digital risk and the use of data, AI and intelligence to inform decision-making in complex, high stakes environments, where stakeholder scrutiny is increasingly tied to a company's value or performance.
Asha specialises in reputation advisory underpinned by AI-enabled social and media intelligence. She works with organisations to identify emerging issues, understand stakeholder sentiment and translate complex data into clear strategic advice that supports leadership’s confidence and secures the long term reputation of the business or industry where it operates.
With deep expertise in social listening and digital strategy, Asha applies an evidence-based approach to contemporary communications, helping clients understand not just what is being said, but why it matters and importantly, what to do next. Her work spans narrative intelligence, digital reputational risk, campaign strategy and executive positioning across owned, earned and paid channels.
Asha is widely recognised as an expert in contemporary communications and reputation management. She is a LinkedIn Top Voice (2026), recognised for leadership and insight on reputation, digital communications and AI. She has worked with a broad cross section of clients across government, finance, energy, insurance, telecoms and technology sectors, and is known for her ability to operate at the most senior levels of organisations.
Asha is a ProxyTwin Advisory Panel member and prior board Member of the International Association of Business Communications (“IABC”), New South Wales (“NSW”).
Relevant Experience:
- Collaborated with an international telecommunications company on several crises and issues to provide evidence-based stakeholder sentiment insights and advice
- Provided digital communications and reputation advisory support across all channels to an insurance industry association
- Worked with several Australian Stock Exchange-listed businesses to develop communications strategies and campaigns based on insights provided through large language model citation analysis
- Advised the founders of an AI fintech business to develop their profile-raising strategy with a view toward generating new investment opportunities
- Assisted an energy retailer in auditing their digital footprint, as well as prepared an enterprise-wide social media strategy
