Drew Sheehan

Drew Sheehan is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Mr. Sheehan leads the North American Data & Analytics practice.

Since joining FTI Consulting in 2009, Mr. Sheehan has focused on the collection and analysis of financial and operational data for purposes of fraud investigation, financial reporting and analysis including visual analytics, business process automation and data reconciliation.

Mr. Sheehan established and continues to lead the Corporate/Private Equity Solutions team within the Data & Analytics practice, assisting clients facing issues involving considerable amounts of data and complicated IT landscapes. He leads tactically focused projects to improve data governance, data integrity, data utility and reporting. He empowers clients to own the data and analytics by building sustainable, repeatable, automated and scalable processes and successfully transitioning ownership to clients.

Mr. Sheehan possesses experience reviewing and analyzing significant amounts of documents and electronic data to extract key information across investigation and litigation support engagements. He has guided clients and counsel on case settlement and litigation strategy based on the findings of his team and the opposition.

Relevant Experience:

• Analyzed financial transaction data in relation to a government investigation of fraudulent activity totaling billions of dollars related to certificates of deposit, supporting the Receiver and Counsel in response to requests by multiple government agencies including the SEC, DOJ and IRS
• Performed a detailed validation of programming code to ensure a financial services client fixed a logic error impacting customer accounts and developed an independent calculation to ensure that the company’s program accurately calculated customer remediation amounts
• Led several projects at a global car rental company including creation of an automated fleet accounting process to remedy an identified material weakness and deployment of actionable dashboards to support the finance, accounting, operations and revenue management teams
• Led a large team of colleagues, clients and third-party contractors to perform automated data reconciliation for a systems implementation for a global hospitality company, and subsequently led the development of secure and customized web applications to automate the goals and payouts process for the company’s global sales force
• Conducted a multifaceted enterprise data strategy project for a technology company held by a private equity firm that delivered comprehensive data mapping, a Master Data Management framework, an assessment of key financial systems and a detailed roadmap
