About Jane
Jane Munday is an experienced communications professional specialising in the areas of strategic communications, corporate affairs, investor relations, media relations and capital markets.
Jane advises listed and private companies, particularly in the commodities, energy, mining, resources and agriculture sectors. She supports companies across financial communications, public affairs, reputation and issues management.
Jane joined FTI Consulting in 2010 and has worked in the firm’s Perth and Sydney offices.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Jane spent a decade as a broadcast journalist. She worked for Reuters in London as the Commodities and Energy (‘C&E’) reporter and producer for Reuters Insider television. In this role, she developed analytical television segments for the C&E market, covered breaking news and interviewed global market leaders, investors and newsmakers.
Jane also spent six years as an ABC Rural and Resources Reporter, working in several ABC regional bureaus. She was a regular reporter on ABC’s former national resources program, ‘Dust and Dollars’, and was the presenter of ABC’s flagship rural current affairs program, ‘Country Hour’.
Relevant Experience:
- Supported gold miner Westgold Resources on an AUD1.2 billion merger with Karora Resources
- Supported HKEX-listed Zhaojin Mining on an AUD733 million takeover of ASX-listed Tietto Minerals
- Supported MAC Copper on its secondary offering and dual listing on the ASX, which was the largest ASX mining listing in five years
- Provided heavy mining equipment manufacturer Austin Engineering Ltd with ongoing media and investor relations support in Australia and across its several global operations
- Provided Ioneer Ltd with investor and media relations, stakeholder engagement and issues management advice; included the release of a definitive feasibility study for Ioneer’s Rhyolite-Ridge Lithium-Boron project in Nevada, as well as the announcement of a joint venture with Sibanye-Stillwater
- Compiled qualitative and quantitative media analyses to identify key topics, share of voice and net-sentiment in national and local media for a major resources company; developed recommendations and an implementation plan, including media engagement strategies
