About Jessica
Jessica Jedynak has more than 12 years’ experience across all aspects of performance improvement, turnaround and restructuring. She advises and works with various stakeholders, including management, lenders, unsecured creditors and debtors.
Prior to joining the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team in Melbourne, Jessica spent more than three years working in the New York practice. While in the United States, she worked on a number of formal and informal advisory roles, gaining extensive experience in global and cross-border restructurings, business plan assessments, plans of reorganisation and fraudulent conveyance investigations.
Jessica has experience across a wide variety of special situation engagements, including independent business reviews, working capital improvement mandates, business transaction mandates and contingency/strategic planning and execution. Her cases have involved significant stakeholder management and the development of project plans and execution strategies, as well as task prioritisation under extreme time pressures.
Relevant Experience:
- Rivet Group — Appointed Receiver and Manager of a transport and logistics, contract mining, equipment hire and aviation services company; provided critical management of the business’s trading operations during the Receivership while concurrently assisting in the successful sale of the assets of the businesses
- Basslink — Appointed Receiver and Manager of a critical 370km subsea electricity cable connecting Tasmania to mainland Australia; provided critical management of the business’s trading operations during the Receivership while concurrently completing a successful asset sale
- Speedcast — Engaged as a complex cross-border restructuring advisor to complete a recapitalisation and restructure of a more than AUD700 million turnover telecom provider servicing 140 countries; project manager of the pre-, during and post-restructuring process across multiple workstreams and jurisdictions
- Global Cloud Xchange — Engaged as a complex restructuring advisor to a more than AUD400 million turnover global data communications provider to strategically plan and execute a reorganisation; provided critical on-the-ground support to the shared services office in Mumbai while directly reporting to the C-suite in the United Kingdom and the United States
- Lender advisory mandates — Independent Business Review of various businesses to quickly assess short- and long-term viability, including business strategy alignment
- Project Wool — Engaged by a global trader and processor of wool with a turnover of AUD380 million and operations across seven countries; successfully assisted the company in refinancing and providing support to strategically refocus and resize its core business
