About Tim
Tim Richards is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Economic & Financial Consulting practice and is based in London. Tim has more than 10 years’ experience providing financial, valuation and economic advice, typically in the context of international arbitration or litigation. His work has focused on the quantification of damages and lost profits — including those arising from breaches of contract and post-acquisition disputes — and valuations of businesses, shareholdings and securities.
Tim has worked across a range of industries, including banking and financial services, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, utilities, automotive and technology. Throughout his career, he has assisted with the preparation of expert reports and supported testifying experts on a range of matters before the English High Court, the Competition Appeal Tribunal, the Royal Court of Guernsey, the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam and the Cayman Grand Court, as well as before ICC, ICSID, HKIAC, LCIA, PCA, SCC and UNCITRAL tribunals.
Tim joined FTI Consulting after obtaining his B.Sc. in economics from the University of Bath. While at university, he undertook a year-long placement at the Bank of England within the Financial Stability directorate.
