Adrian McNulty

Adrian McNulty is a chartered quantity surveyor and accredited expert witness with more than two decades of experience in expert witness services, dispute resolution proceedings, claims preparation and defence, commercial management, procurement and contract administration across the UK, Ireland and Australasia.

Adrian specialises in dispute resolution. He frequently prepares expert reports on quantum and delay and advises on the preparation and defence of contractual claims in the mining/resources, oil and gas, rail/infrastructure and broader construction sectors. His work spans litigation, arbitration, mediation and adjudication, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the technical analysis and documentation required for successful dispute resolution.

Adrian has acted as an expert witness on numerous occasions and has been involved in complex disputes across the oil and gas, mining and resources and infrastructure industries. His experience includes liquefied natural gas (‘LNG’) and floating liquefied natural gas (‘FLNG’) facilities, offshore and onshore pipelines, large-scale mining operations and complex rail and transport infrastructure projects. Adrian’s work frequently addresses issues of remeasurement, disruption, delay, scope growth, and cost escalation, bringing industry-specific insight and practical commercial expertise to his role as an expert.

Earlier in his career, Adrian gained broad project delivery experience as a chartered quantity surveyor, managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects spanning civil engineering, utilities, commercial, education, aviation, healthcare and residential developments. This foundation gives him a detailed understanding of the cost and management of construction projects and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, from contractors and government agencies to construction lawyers.

Accredited by the Academy of Experts as an expert witness, Adrian also holds a B.S. in Quantity Surveying from the Limerick Institute of Technology and Heriott-Watt University, as well as an M.S. in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Trinity College University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
