Jose advises on the valuation of businesses, shares and intangible assets across various industries (including damages calculations and assessments of losses). He also provides other types of economic advice, for instance in the determination of FRAND or reasonable royalty rates, or in complex issues involving the use of economic modelling and econometrics.
Jose has prepared damages and valuation reports for submission in litigations before various courts, and in arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, AAA, LCIA, SCC and UNCITRAL. Jose is acting or has acted as expert witness in ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations.
Jose is fluent in Spanish and English and has been advising clients in international disputes involving Latin America for the past seven years.
Jose is a financial economist with a B.Sc. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes and an M.Sc. in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics. He is also a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
