Parkinson Voice Project (“PVP”), a nonprofit providing people with Parkinson’s and related disorders with highly effective speech therapy, has expanded across the United States and in 32 countries over the last 20 years. This significant growth prompted the organization’s leadership to enlist FTI Consulting to create a formalized monthly operations report (“MOR”) outlining its strategic vision and related results.
Our Impact
- As a result of the MOR deck developed by FTI Consulting, PVP formalized management reporting, allowing staff to efficiently update and communicate key financial and operational results to the board of directors and donors.
- The client received detailed documentation to guide employees through updating the Excel model and the MOR deck, ensuring a smooth transition and a sustainable reporting process for the future.
Our Role
- FTI Consulting collaborated with PVP leadership to understand its short- and long-term strategic objectives and develop a clear executive message that highlights the nonprofit’s history, recent growth and vision.
- Our experts developed a KPI framework reflecting PVP’s key financial and operational metrics, supporting effective communication of strategic objectives to board members and external stakeholders.
- FTI Consulting designed a robust Excel financial model that streamlined data integration and formatting of key reports from PVP’s enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and other systems, simplifying the monthly update process for its employees.
“Our valuable Monthly Operations Report will be used as a key document for our organization. Our Executive Team and Board of Directors will be able to monitor the organization‘s progress and determine areas that are performing well and areas that need extra attention. Additionally, we will be able to use this data to seek other funding sources that require more stringent reporting. This is vital for our organization, which doesn‘t charge for its services and relies 100% on donations.”
