Dennis Shaughnessy has been chairman of the board of FTI Consulting since 2004, a period in which the firm’s revenues and EBITDA have more than tripled.
Experience
For more than three decades, Mr. Shaughnessy has helped lead four companies to steady growth and profitability. From 1989 to 2004, he was a general partner at private equity firm Grotech Capital Group, Inc., where he managed approximately $1 billion in private equity funds. Prior to joining Grotech, he was CEO of CRI International Inc., a petroleum refining service business that he helped grow from $6.6 million to $125 million in revenues before he sold it to Shell Oil in 1989. Mr. Shaughnessy started his career at Mercantile Bank, leading both its Corporate Financial Services Group and later the Personal Services division.
He has served as board director of several firms, including: Long John Silver’s and A&W Restaurants, Phillips Publishing Inc., Polk Audio Incorporated, Secure Computing Inc., TESSCO Technologies Incorporated and U.S. Vision.
