Jack B. Dunn is the Retired President and Chief Executive Officer of FTI Consulting, Inc. acting in an advisory role since January 2014. Mr. Dunn was previously the Chief Executive Officer of FTI Consulting for 18 years since his appointment in 1995. In May 2004 through January 2014, he served as the President of the firm, a position he also held from October 1995 to December 1998. Mr. Dunn served as a Director of the firm between 1992 and January 2014. Over this time period, he has helped guide FTI Consulting from a small forensic consulting firm into one of the largest global business advisory firms with a range of services in corporate restructuring, turnaround, economics, forensic and litigation consulting, strategic communications, reputation management and other areas.
Mr. Dunn has been instrumental in directing FTI Consulting’s growth from $11 million in 1992 to $1.58 billion in revenues during fiscal year 2012, maintaining a compound annual growth rate of approximately 28 percent and guiding a robust acquisition strategy, international expansion and organic growth.
Mr. Dunn joined FTI Consulting as Chief Financial Officer following a 10-year career at the regional investment banking firm Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc., where he directed its corporate financing and investment banking activities. Prior to his investment banking career, Mr. Dunn practiced corporate and securities law.
Mr. Dunn received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
