Sale of Digital Special Effects Icon to Consortium of Chinese and Indian Industry Leaders
FTI Consulting-orchestrated auction fetched more than double the initial purchase price to $32 million. In final rounds, previously competing bidders combined to form a joint bid. FTI Consulting ran the sale process in 9 days which was only possible by FTI Consulting leveraging knowledge gained as CRO and interim CFO to become intimately familiar with the business.

Sale Effort of Reader’s Digest’s International Business
FTICA led a global sale effort with regional FTI leads in London, Munich, Moscow, Sao Paolo and Hong Kong, acting as local buyer contacts throughout the process allowing for simultaneous interaction in multiple time zones and familiarity with regional buyer universe. FTICA was successful in completing four transactions, two during RDA’s recent CH. 11 proceedings and two post emergence. Operations sold included: (i) Sweden, France, Finland; (ii) Hungary, Poland, Romania; (iii) Czech Republic, and (iv) Mexico.
