Andy Hall

Andy Hall specialises in advising creditors, investors and boards. Mr. Hall has 20 years of restructuring experience and has experience across a wide range of industries including oil and gas, travel, retail, construction, support services, healthcare and financial services.

Mr. Hall’s experience includes crisis management, strategic operational and financial assessments, financial restructuring and operational improvement. He has been involved in several highly complex projects across a broad range of industries and geographies.​

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hall was finance director at Global Freight Exchange, a leading provider of technology solutions to the global air freight industry. Before that, he worked for seven years in KPMG’s restructuring practice. He is a qualified chartered accountant.

Relevant Experience

• Advised the RCF lenders to a listed fashion and retail business on the post Covid-19 recapitalisation of the business, including a successful equity raise​
• Advised the RCF lenders and led the common platform due diligence of Thomas Cook plc​
• Advised the lenders to a listed department store on a restructuring involving a CVA and pre-pack sale to a lender owned vehicle​
• Advised the lenders to a listed global ‘early years’ retailer on the financial restructuring which involved a CVA to restructure the group’s UK store portfolio​
• Engaged by the noteholders of a listed outsourced services provider to provide advice and due diligence on a financial restructuring and successful equity raise​
• Advised the bank lenders and led the common platform due diligence workstream on Carillion plc
• Advised the senior lenders to a listed oil and gas E&P company with over US$3 billion of debt; the role involved a common platform IBR of the business​
• Provided advice to a landlord and their lenders on the transition of a care home portfolio leased to Southern Cross; the role involved managing the operational, financial, legal and tax implications of the transition
