Chuck Holt is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice and is based in Boston. Mr. Holt is a member of the Healthcare Solutions group. He is a dynamic healthcare professional with specific expertise in successful development and execution of high-level strategy with demonstrated success in executive leadership roles. Mr. Holt is a key strategist and implementer in moving healthcare to a greater degree of performance and accountability.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Holt was the executive director of the Affiliated Physicians of Saint Raphael Foundation, a teaching affiliate of Yale University. He was a senior executive and administrator of this multi-specialty integrated physicians’ network with 210 employed providers, and contractual relationships with 337 community providers. Mr. Holt played a crucial role in the foundation as it was newly incorporated as part of the Saint Raphael Healthcare System with an initial focus on strategy and vision; growing provider relationships, participation and trust; building infrastructure, including organizational structure, governance and policy; management team recruitment; training and education programs; contracting; revenue cycle management; process flow; practice management and billing system; accounting systems and profit and loss statements at all levels; growth of existing and new programs; and beginning the transition from a fee-for-service model towards a quality-outcomes risk-reward payment model.
Prior to that, Mr. Holt served as chief operations officer at Harbor Medical Associates, where he oversaw the substantial growth of the organization and consistently met or exceeded quality, cost and profit distribution expectations for its partner physicians, including diversifying revenues, reducing risk and streamlining of operations.
In addition, Mr. Holt held senior leadership positions at Boston University Medical Center Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School's Joint Center of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, GTE and Bank of America.
Mr. Holt has been a guest speaker at numerous public private events on the topic of healthcare strategy and performance.
Mr. Holt holds an M.B.A. from Northeastern University and a B.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a certified medical practice executive with the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Mr. Holt has served on the boards for numerous non-profit and charitable institutions, including as a founder of a K-12 school and a foundation to raise educational funds to provide less advantaged children with educational opportunities.
