Colin T. Walsh is a Managing Director in the Trial Services group in the FTI Consulting Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice and is based in Los Angeles. With more than 14 years of experience in litigation consulting and graphic design, Mr. Walsh provides communications consulting for litigation and is an expert in the development of visually persuasive and creative presentations for the finder-of-fact. He specializes in creative narrative, information architecture, technical illustration, and graphics consulting.
Mr. Walsh has been at FTI Consulting since 2003 and has led FTI Consulting teams assisting with litigation, mediations, arbitrations, and proceedings in federal and state courts around the country. He has performed communications consulting and presentation development for some of the nation’s top law firms, including Gibson Dunn; Irell & Manella; Reed Smith; Kirkland & Ellis; Nixon Vanderhye; Morgan Lewis; Hughes Hubbard; Williams & Connelly; Arnold & Porter; Sullivan & Cromwell; Bryan Cave; Baker Botts; Shook, Hardy; and Bartlit, Beck; Fish and Richardson; Sidley Austin; and Others.
Mr. Walsh regularly leads Trial Services engagements in complex contract disputes, major pharmaceutical litigations, and intellectual property cases. He has worked with legal teams supporting Apple, Toyota, Mars, Pfizer, Merck, Medtronic, Microsoft, Nintendo and TiVo, among others, on high-profile cases including: Vioxx product liability litigation, Pfizer average wholesale pricing litigation, Wyeth diet drug litigation, the Minnesota and Iowa Microsoft antitrust lawsuits, and TiVo IP litigation. For the Merck Vioxx litigation, Mr. Walsh was on the FTI Consulting planning team from the start and led the graphics consultation for several trials in diverse venues. He facilitated collaboration between multiple law firms and with multiple experts.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Walsh worked at Burson-Marsteller, where he worked closely with PR professionals supporting Young and Rubicam companies. He also worked with outside clients preparing corporate and financial communications ranging from crisis communications, trade-show exhibits and FDA-approval presentations to road shows, product launches, store openings, company meetings, and sales pitches for Fortune 500 companies such as Philip Morris, Chase Bank, Monsanto, Allergan, Ford, Unilever, Citibank, British Petroleum, and others.
Mr. Walsh studied Studio Art at the University of California, Davis and holds a B.A. of liberal arts degree from The New School University in New York.
