Drew Forbes is a Senior Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment of FTI Consulting and is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr. Forbes has over six years’ experience working on a broad range of matters including both corporate and personal insolvency appointments. Mr. Forbes has extensive experience in the preparation of investigating accountants reviews, performance management and improvement, and on-going business monitoring roles.

Specifically, Mr. Forbes’ expertise lies in the retail, manufacturing, agriculture, property development and hospitality industries.

Since joining FTI Consulting, Mr Forbes’ most notable assignments have included:

  • The voluntary administration and liquidation of the AllansBilly Hyde Music Group, Australia’s largest musical instrument retailer.
  • The receivership and eventual sale of a large manufacturer and supplier of assisted living, independence and home healthcare aides and appliances with operations in Victoria and Queensland.
  • The preparation of an investigating accountant’s review for a large regional Victorian leisure and residential property developer.
  • Providing consultancy services to a regional Victorian based non-bank debenture issuer and lender, following a voluntary freeze on note holder redemptions. Mr. Forbes advised on the current position of the lender as well as restructuring and asset realisation alternatives.

Mr. Forbes also has significant experience in elite sport, having previously held a finance related role with a Melbourne based AFL club. This role included the financial oversight and management of the club’s player salary cap obligations, along with the financial oversight and management of two hospitality venues incorporating 200 electronic gaming machine entitlements.
