Gary Keilty is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Washington, DC. He is part of the Health Solutions Segment. Mr. Keilty has experience working on behalf of several healthcare and life sciences clients and their outside counsel with regulatory compliance matters as well as numerous special investigations, qui tam actions and other situations in which healthcare fraud, Anti-kickback or False Claims Act violations has been alleged.
Mr. Keilty has significant knowledge and application of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement laws and regulations, provider billing and coding requirements, Stark and Anti-Kickback laws, Federal and State HCP aggregate spending tracking requirements, CIA requirements and IRO project management, current federal investigative and enforcement initiatives and targeting and audit methodologies used by various State and Federal agencies. He is also a frequent publisher and speaker on issues facing providers and life sciences companies.
Specifically related to investigation support projects, Mr. Keilty’s work has involved leading teams in identifying specific instances of the alleged violations, determining the circumstances which allowed the alleged violations to occur, developing responses and strategy with outside counsel regarding communication and work product development for submission to government investigators.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Keilty was with the national Healthcare and Life Sciences practices of Huron Consulting Group, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP, Navigant Consulting, Inc. and Ernst & Young, LLP, where he was responsible for developing and delivering regulatory compliance and risk mitigation, investigative and dispute resolution, and operational and industry expertise assistance to healthcare providers, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturers and law firms.
Mr. Keilty holds his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine.
