John Green is a Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in New York. He is head of research for the Geopolitical Intelligence team, located within the Global Risk and Investigations Practice.
As part of the Geopolitical Intelligence team, Mr. Green provides global political risk analysis to clients, both at the macro and micro level for retainer clients and as bespoke project work for consulting clients. Alongside other experienced political risk analysts in FTI Consulting’s New York office, he is part of a global team that connects political events to commercial outcomes and identifies the specific implications of political events for corporate and investment environments.
Mr. Green has more than 15 years of experience in political risk consulting for a wide range of corporate, financial and governmental clients. He spent more than 12 years at the political risk consultancy Eurasia Group, where he conducted and managed research and served on the firm’s management committee.
Mr. Green led Eurasia Group’s Asia and Africa teams and was extensively involved in the firm’s Europe and Latin America coverage. He has experience building and supervising a large and diverse research team and managing multidisciplinary projects. He was also directly involved in the development of Eurasia Group’s advisory services. Mr. Green has extensive experience with the application of data, dashboards, statistical analysis and predictive modeling to political forecasting.
Mr. Green received his B.A. in Politics from Princeton University. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer and he received his M.A. in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Relations at Columbia University.
