Kerstin Duhme is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting in Brussels, Belgium. Ms. Duhme is in the Public Affairs practice in the Strategic Communications segment and heads the Energy & Natural Resources and agri-chemicals teams in Brussels.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Duhme was an election campaigner for the Greens and worked for German MEP Elisabeth Schroedter inside both the German Bundestag and European Parliament focusing on all facets of sustainable development. After being active within the Greens and the NGO scene for a decade, Ms. Duhme moved into strategic consulting and has played a leading role in the FTI Consulting Brussels office helping C-suite business clients achieve their goals. With her understanding of business, politics and activists, Ms. Duhme has facilitated dialogue between very diverse stakeholder groups to move forward some of the most controversial societal issues of our day such as unconventional gas, pipeline infrastructure, and hydrogen technology.
Ms. Duhme leads various programs for clients in the energy and environment sectors. Amongst her clients are Shell, Chevron, Halliburton, Exxon Mobil, Total, Cuadrilla, TAP, Noble Energy, Bayer and Honeywell. Some of her notable achievements in recent years include spearheading a pan-European shale-gas campaign, which was awarded the 2015 Gold SABRE Award for Energy and Natural Resources Campaign of the Year. She also led the advocacy campaign which resulted in the selection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline as the European leg of the Southern Gas Corridor that will bring Caspian resources into several European energy markets by 2020. An experienced senior adviser, Ms. Duhme has been guiding clients for more than 11 years on EU-level regulatory and policy issues that pose opportunities and challenges to their business goals. Clients trust and rely on her to get beneath the skin of their issues and go that extra mile to get results.
