Lisa Rickelton is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in London. Ms. Rickelton is a member of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, with 15 years of restructuring and insolvency experience.
Ms. Rickelton has restructuring experience in a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, consumer products, transport, real estate, healthcare and retail. She specialises in contingency planning, strategic exits and insolvent restructurings.
Ms. Rickelton’s most recent assignments include appointments as Joint Administrator over an oil and gas exploration and production business; Administrator of a care home business; and Joint Administrator of a technology business with operations in Greece, India and the United States following fraud allegations. Her recent advisory experience includes advising lenders to a large European oil refinery, contingency planning on behalf of noteholders of a UK oil exploration company, and contingency planning in relation to a leading queue management business.
Previous assignments Ms. Rickelton has been involved in include advising the lenders to a care home group on their contingency options; acting on the enforcement of a number of UK shopping centres; negotiating lease exits on behalf of a hotel owning group; the pre-packaged administration sale of a market leading UK printing company; advising the lenders to Vantis, a mid-sized UK accounting and professional services firm, and the subsequent pre-packaged administration sale; and contingency planning and pre-packaged administration in relation to Raymarine, a leading manufacturer of marine electronics, which resulted in value for shareholders.
Ms. Rickelton has also worked on the teams advising the unsecured creditor committee of Lehman Brothers and the bondholder committee of Nortel Networks.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Rickelton worked in Ernst & Young’s Restructuring practice. She worked on a number of high profile assignments, including serving a key role in the administration of Metronet and contingency planning for the lenders of Eurotunnel, as well as a number of other trading insolvencies, contingency planning assignments and pre-packaged administrations. Before that, Ms. Rickelton worked in the restructuring team at Arthur Andersen.
Ms. Rickelton is a licensed insolvency practitioner. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals. Ms. Rickelton received an M.A. with honours in economics from The University of Edinburgh.
