Mark C. Spragg

Mr. Spragg has experience in financial and business consulting services, and has led dozens of engagements involving interim management, in- and out-of-court restructuring, due diligence, merger integration, performance improvement, valuation, strategy and expert witness testimony.

Mr. Spragg has led a broad array of consulting engagements. He has served as interim Chief Accounting Officer (“CAO”) and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), including serving as interim CAO for Ubiquiti Networks, Inc., a publicly traded developer of high-performance networking technology for service providers and enterprises. He also has consulted on a number of global restructuring engagements, including Nortel, advising the ad hoc committee of bondholders in an in-court, multi-year global liquidation and Globalstar, advising the senior secured lenders in an out-of-court restructuring of the credit facility.

Mr. Spragg consulted with a large regional telecom company on a multi-year performance improvement project that included mapping the cost structure of the entire enterprise to key processes and customer segments, calculating customer net present values and recommending operational improvements.

Other consulting engagements for Mr. Spragg include due diligence, valuation and strategy assignments with a broad variety of telecom, media and technology (“TMT”) companies in various geographies. While his primary focus is in the United States, Mr. Spragg has experience in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. Mr. Spragg is also an experienced expert witness having testified more than a dozen times, primarily on valuation, business viability and damages matters.

Mr. Spragg is an expert in the mobile wireless and satellite sectors. His experience includes working in the mobile industry followed by two decades of telecom industry consulting with PwC and FTI Consulting. His valuation experience includes valuing businesses and various intangible assets, such as wireless spectrum and subscriber bases.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Spragg was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a founding member of what is now FTI Consulting’s TMT practice. Mr. Spragg has also held executive and management positions, including Director of Finance and VP of Corporate Finance Operations at fast growing wireless companies. He began his career at the “Big 8” audit firm KPMG Peat Marwick where he performed numerous audits and internal control reviews.
