Matt Dixon is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting. He is a member of the Strategic Communications segment and is based in London, UK.

Mr. Dixon has eleven years of communications experience and has been with the Group for ten years. He specialises in TMT and his advisory experience spans TMT firms of all sizes: both in Britain and internationally.

Mr. Dixon has advised numerous listed and private TMT firms on their corporate reputations, profile building and financial reporting during his time at FTI. Client experience includes: Ascom, Detica, Dialog Semiconductor, DST, EE, Gigaclear, KPN,, Moleskine, Microsoft, Nokia, Nokia Networks, Ooredoo, Photobox Group, Portugal Telecom, Qualcomm and WANdisco.

Mr. Dixon’s M&A experience includes the purchase of Detica by BAe Systems; the purchase of Andor Technology by Oxford Instruments; Ooredoo’s purchase of a 40.8% stake in Indonesia’s Indosat; and Portugal Telecom’s successful defence against hostile bids from Sonaecom. His IPO experience spans the full range of AIM, Main List and international offerings, including’s GDR listing and the IPO of WANdisco.

In the private arena, Mr. Dixon advised on the 2011 acquisition by Photobox of Moonpig, which created the Photobox Group. He has also advised on multiple private fundraisings for high-growth TMT firms, such as Gigaclear, and VC fund launches, such as ru-Net.

In June 2012, Mr. Dixon played a key role in advising Nokia on an employee communications programme connected to a global strategy refocus, spearheaded by then CEO, Stephen Elop. In August 2013, he returned to Nokia to support a further employee exercise connected to Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s Mobile Devices and Services business. In June 2014, Mr. Dixon led a nine-strong FTI team in support of Microsoft, as it sought to communicate effectively with employees during the largest restructuring in its corporate history.

Mr. Dixon’s first taste of the communications world came in 2001 in his role as researcher and speech writer for Conservative Peeress and former Government Minister, The Rt. Hon. Baroness Chalker of Wallasey PC. He graduated in 2001 with a first class honours degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Warwick.
