Shannon (Stucky) Pritchett, Managing Director at FTI Consulting, is based in New York and specializes in developing and executing communications strategies for companies announcing a restructuring, merger, acquisition or other type of transaction as well as those seeking to manage their corporate reputation in relation to a specific issue or event. She sits within the Strategic Communications segment and has more than a decade of experience helping companies in these types of situations.
In the area of restructuring, Ms. Stucky has advised clients including the Samson Resources, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, IAP, Orchard Supply Hardware, Vertis Holdings, American Suzuki Motor Company, NewPage, Sea Island Company, Goody’s Family Clothing and Tropicana Entertainment. These assignments included Chapter 11 and CCAA filings, 363 sales and out-of-court restructurings, but in each case, the key objective was to maintain business continuity as the client worked to address its debt and/or liquidity challenges
She also helped to launch Puerto Rico’s Public Corporation Debt Enforcement and Recovery Act, a new legislative framework that sought to provide public corporations in the Commonwealth with an orderly, statutory process to overcome their financial obstacles, and has managed communications around the organizational restructurings of Phillips Seafood and Movado.
Outside of restructuring, Ms. Stucky has advised Nasdaq, HSBC, MF Global, the Boys Scouts of America and Heiffer International through various crisis preparedness, litigation and reputational challenges. She also has supported strategic M&A transactions executed by Hess, Noble Energy, Dentons, Diageo, Allstate, NextEra Energy Resources, Constellation Energy and Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Stucky was a senior account manager with The Torrenzano Group, where she drove ongoing thought leadership programs and supported the firm’s emerging transaction communications practice. Her clients included Grant Thornton LLP, WNS Global Services, Radian Group, Lloyds and The American Stock Exchange.
Ms. Stucky holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, magna cum laude, from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College.
