Tanya Meerovich is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting  and is based in New York. Ms. Meerovich’s experience includes providing financial and strategic solutions to distressed companies, their creditors and investors. She has worked with both public and private companies across many industries, including financial services; real estate; non-for-profit; insurance; healthcare; manufacturing, infrastructure, print and retail.

Ms. Meerovich’s advisory services include assisting senior management teams and various stakeholders in review and assessment of business plans and financial models; preparation of financial projections and cash flow models; financial analysis; cash management; asset management and liquidation; claims analysis; fraud investigations and forensic accounting.

One of Ms. Meerovich's recent engagements involved advising on the restructuring of Residential Capital. Her role included assessing and evaluating various strategic alternatives, structuring a plan of reorganization, arranging post-petition financing and addressing numerous matters related to creditors and claims. Ms. Meerovich’s also advised on the restructuring of Credit-Based Asset Servicing and Securitization, a large loan originator, securitizer and servicer. As part of this engagement, Ms. Meerovich worked on the structuring of a consensual long-term forbearance agreement with in excess of 70 parties.

In addition, Ms. Meerovich has added value on many large and high profile engagements, including Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority; a U.S. based monoline insurer; General Growth Properties; Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers in New York; Workflow Management; Natrol; and a $15 billion international investment fund.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Meerovich was with the Financial Services Advisory group of RSM Cayman Islands, where she was involved in a number of high profile and complex cross-border insolvency engagements in the financial services sector. Prior to that, Ms. Meerovich worked for a securities broker-dealer in the Chicago area.

Ms. Meerovich authored an article titled “Broker Fraud – Lessons to Learn from SEGOES” for Cayman Net News in July 2006.

Ms. Meerovich serves on the boards for the New York Chapter of International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and a not-for-profit organization, Rock & Rawhide.

Ms. Meerovich holds a B.S. in business management and finance from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She is a chartered financial analyst, certified insolvency and restructuring advisor, and certified fraud examiner. Ms. Meerovich also previously held NASD Series 24, 7 and 63 licenses. She is a member of the CFA Institute; American Bankruptcy Institute; Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors; Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; Turnaround Management Association; IWIRC; and New York Society of Security Analysts. She also serves on the board of directors of a non-for-profit organization, Rock & Rawhide.
