Bill Clogg is a senior managing director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice and is based in Detroit. Mr. Clogg is a member of the Transaction Advisory Services Solutions group. He has 15 years of experience providing transaction advisory services and working in the global automotive environment.
Mr. Clogg is experienced at managing acquisition due diligence teams for buy-side and sell-side transactions, and he currently leads the firm’s sell-side and vendor due diligence initiative.
Mr. Clogg has provided a range of transaction advisory services, including financial due diligence, business plan modeling and reviews, merger integration and restructuring, acquisition accounting advice, post-deal integration assessments and validation of merger synergies. His expertise includes working with U.S. and European-based private equity and private capital firms. In addition, Mr. Clogg has a broad range of clients from mega-funds to middle market funds and entrepreneurs. In the automotive space, clients have included original equipment manufacturers, large and small components suppliers, and private equity investors and various financial lenders.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Clogg was a director in the Transaction Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers. For two years, he managed transactions and advisory services in Central and Eastern Europe, where he led a high-growth transaction advisory practice in Slovakia. Clients included Western European and North American strategic buyers and global and regional private equity funds with an interest in investing in emerging Europe. Mr. Clogg has significant cross-border experience, having led engagements in more than 20 countries.
Before that, Mr. Clogg was the controller and treasurer for a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, which grew from $600 million to more than $2 billion in revenue through mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Clogg holds an M.B.A. and a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Detroit Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
