What We Offer

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

At FTI Consulting Australia, diversity, inclusion and belonging are central to who we are and how we work. We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining talented people from a wide range of backgrounds, and to fostering a culture where our professionals feel respected, supported and empowered to do their best work.

Our global approach is focused on building an inclusive and equitable workplace, expanding access to talent, using our expertise to contribute to the communities in which we operate, and continuing meaningful dialogue across the firm. In Australia, this commitment is supported by our local Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee, Employee Resource Groups and employee-led initiatives that help create connection, strengthen awareness and support practical action across our offices.

Our Australian initiatives reflect both FTI Consulting’s global priorities and the communities in which we live and work. These include our Reconciliation journey, our employer membership with Pride in Diversity, FTI Consulting’s Women’s Initiative and many local events and programs that support inclusion, wellbeing and belonging, like our Mental Health First Aider training.

Life at FTI – Examples of Local Initiatives and Employee Resource Group

FTI Consulting’s Women’s Initiative
FTI Consulting’s Women’s Initiative Network, known globally as FTI WIN, supports the attraction, retention, development and advancement of female professionals across the firm. Through mentoring, networking, professional development and client and community engagement, FTI WIN helps create opportunities for women to build meaningful careers, develop leadership capability and connect with colleagues and clients.

In Australia, FTI WIN is supported through internal and external events, leadership discussions and community initiatives that reinforce our commitment to being an employer of choice for talented female professionals. Beyond supporting the development and advancement of our own people, we also support female-related causes through our Corporate Citizenship programme, including charities such as The Forgotten Women and Dress for Success.

Reconciliation at FTI Consulting Australia
We launched our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (‘RAP) in February 2022 and published our second RAP in the Innovate stage in July 2024. Our RAPs provide a framework for meaningful action across relationships, respect, opportunities and governance. We are currently developing our third RAP for publication in 2027.

Our RAP Working Group helps drive internal engagement, cultural learning and awareness, while supporting initiatives that embed respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our everyday operations. This includes practical examples such as Acknowledgement of Country resources, local events, cultural learning opportunities and partnerships with organisations like Yalari and Red Dust Role Models to support education, wellbeing and long-term pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youths and communities.

Pride Network
The FTI Pride Network is a global Employee Resource Group dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ employees and fostering a culture of allyship, connection and awareness across the firm. The network provides community, mentoring, and engagement for staff year-round, while organising prominent celebrations during Pride Month globally, and also during Australian-specific initiatives including the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Wear It Purple Day.

In 2026, we joined Pride in Diversity, the leading subject matter expert in LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace policy, practice, and behaviours needed to achieve positive cultural change, as an Employer Member. Through this membership, we have access to education, resources, benchmarking and guidance that help us build a more inclusive and supportive workplace. We are also working towards our accreditation under the Australian Workplace Equality Index (‘AWEI’).

Young Professionals Committee
Our Young Professionals Committee supports the growth, connection and development of our junior and mid-level professionals across Australia. Through networking events, client engagement opportunities and practical business development activities, the committee helps emerging professionals build confidence, strengthen relationships and develop the skills to create long-term value for clients and the firm. Local events have included client networking evenings, professional development sessions and informal gatherings that bring colleagues and industry contacts together in a supportive environment.
