Kyle Wetzold

Kyle Wetzold is Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Data & Analytics practice, where he partners with some of the world's leading organizations and law firms to use artificial intelligence (“AI”) to solve their most pressing challenges — whether building new solutions and services or driving business strategy.

Mr. Wetzold specializes in AI and advanced analytics, with a specific focus on its application within strategy, business transformation, and complex disputes and investigations. He brings a wealth of experience across the AI lifecycle, from strategic advisory, value creation planning advisory and large-scale transformation through AI risk identification, management and mitigation. Mr. Wetzold excels at bridging the gap between technology and strategy — understanding how and when to leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve critical client needs — and has more than 10 years of experience leading large-scale, high-impact engagements with leading corporations, private equity firms and law firms.

Mr. Wetzold co-leads FTI Consulting’s AI Lab, where he manages multidisciplinary innovation teams comprised of more than 20 total data scientists, engineers and strategists to deliver rapid proofs of concept and solutions across industries and use cases. Additionally, he is the Chief of Staff for FTI Consulting’s AI Leadership Committee, where he oversees strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution, and serves as the Strategy & Product Lead for the firm’s global AI capabilities. In this role, he leads the conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing and launching of new AI and GenAI-driven products for both internal and external use cases. In this capacity, he helps lead the ideation and development of AI tools aimed at both evolving FTI Consulting’s ways of working and meeting client needs.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Wetzold was an Analyst for a boutique private equity fund in Miami, where he specialized in distressed investing. He holds an M.B.A from Columbia Business School, with a focus in Decision, Risk & Operations, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago. At Columbia, Mr. Wetzold graduated Dean’s Honors with Distinction and was awarded the William J. Heffernan Memorial Award for Service.
