Steve Lutfy, FHFMA

Steve Lutfy has more than 40 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience providing and implementing solutions for his clients. Mr. Lufty has an outstanding history of building, leading, developing and optimizing healthcare revenue cycle processes and workforce members to improve net revenue capture and accelerate cash collections at maximum economic value for his clients.

Mr. Lutfy leads FTI Consulting’s Healthcare Managed Services (“HMS”) operation, specializing in third-party accounts receivable remediation. He brings a unique perspective to his client’s revenue cycle operations by having the experience of serving on both sides of the desk. His career encompasses leading large revenue cycle operations for academic medical centers and multi-healthcare systems, as well as with small-to-mid-size community hospitals.

With his years of healthcare revenue cycle experience coupled with his passion for client service, Mr. Lutfy is viewed as a trusted advisor by his clients. His strategic vision of the revenue cycle alongside his impeccable attention to detail and crisp tactical execution delivers immediate value to his clients.

Mr. Lutfy received an M.S. in Health Services Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Management from the University of South Carolina. He holds several professional designations, including Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (“FHFMA”), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (“CHFP”) and Certified Manager of Patient Accounts (“CMPA”) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
