Vikas Papriwal

Vikas Papriwal leads the Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in the Middle East. He has more than 30 years of experience providing restructuring advice and financial solutions to a wide range of stakeholders in growth, stressed and distressed situations.

Vikas has led several large financial restructuring, corporate advisory, transactions advisory and acquisition projects. Vikas has lived and operated in the UAE, UK and India and provided transaction advice to a wide range of private equity, sovereign wealth and corporate clients on over 200 transactions in more than 15 countries, including some of the largest private equity transactions in the UAE and Europe.

Vikas served on the Board of Dubai World as a Lenders’ Representative and assisted Lenders in significantly increasing their recovery on this USD$25 billion debt restructuring.

Vikas has advised some of the largest corporate clients in the Middle East on funding options, such as strategic business planning in advance of raising both debt and equity. He oversaw the turnaround of two KPMG businesses through strategic focus on managed accounts, shutting loss making businesses and replacing with investment in high-margin niche businesses.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Vikas spent 17 years with KPMG both in London and in the UAE as the Head of Transactions and Restructuring and then as the Head of Advisory.
