Bryce Snape

Bryce Snape focuses on providing advanced data analytics services across all industries with a concentration on automation and helping companies leverage data as an asset. Mr. Snape leads projects related to data governance, compliance, data privacy (e.g., General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”)), data analytics and financial modeling with a specialty on the Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act (“SCRA”), comprehensive capital analysis and review (“CCAR”) and other regulatory reporting. He has presented directly to regulatory agencies (e.g., the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) about data methodologies and financial modeling.

Mr. Snape helps companies develop and mature their data governance capabilities. This includes performing current state assessments, building tactical roadmaps and providing expert guidance. He focuses on implementation, automation and putting in place processes and procedures that enable his clients to independently manage their data. Mr. Snape leverages his technical acumen to validate, advise and implement technical solutions across multiple industries. This includes data discovery, data classification, data architecture, tokenization and anonymization. He has implemented bespoke automation solutions that integrated multiple applications and saved his clients thousands of hours of work per year.

Mr. Snape has led numerous high-profile litigation cases within the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry including investigations into Ponzi schemes, “pump and dump” investments and misappropriation of funds. He was responsible for quantifying the amount of assets at stake, determining how those funds were invested, tracing analysis to determine current location of assets as well as assisting with depositions and subpoenas. He is viewed as an expert on the technical components of blockchain technology including the mechanics of decentralized finance, implementation of consensus mechanisms, and how blockchain technologies interact with third-party applications.

Mr. Snape has worked directly with multiple regulatory agencies and leading law firms to perform “lookback” engagements assessing historical compliance with various regulations. He was responsible for reviewing underlying code, building advanced financial models to calculate historical damages as well as determining how to resolve data quality issues to ensure a consistent approach across various data sources. Mr. Snape has extensive experience working across various financial industry lines of business including consumer and commercial credit, auto loans, mortgages and consumer deposits. He uses regulatory and domain expertise combined with technical depth to solve complex business problems across organizations. This includes overseeing the data and technical implementation of automating thousands of regulatory reports as well as understanding numerous disparate datasets, determining remediation activities as well as defining the data model, target state architecture and data governance.

Mr. Snape graduated from The College of William and Mary with a B.A. in Economics, cum laude. He currently serves on the board at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, Masters in Business Analytics.
