About Guillermo
Guillermo Garau leads the Latin America and Florida Transactions practice. Mr. Garau specializes in advising financial and strategic clients engaged in M&A and divestiture activities. With more than 20 years of accounting and corporate finance experience, his expertise spans the entire deal spectrum, including pre-deal strategy, valuation, due diligence, contract and negotiation support, as well as separation and integration planning.
Mr. Garau has managed or played a key role in cross-functional M&A teams across more than 350 transactions, with deal values ranging from $1 million to multibillion-dollar transactions. He has also led finance-focused interim management roles for clients requiring leadership in business planning (including 13-week cash flow modeling), financial reporting and financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”). His transaction experience spans multiple industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, technology, real estate, consumer and retail, business services and transaction processing.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Garau was a Partner in the Advisory practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). He began his career at PwC as an auditor for financial institutions and investment management companies. Additionally, he worked for RBC Capital Markets as an equity analyst covering REITs.
Mr. Garau is bilingual in English and Spanish.
