James Condon

James Condon is a Managing Director and the Americas Head of Research at FTI Consulting, based in New York. Mr. Condon is a senior leader in the Digital & Insights practice within the Strategic Communications segment.

As a data strategist, Mr. Condon leads primary research and intelligence projects that assess stakeholder perceptions and expectations, to inform client engagement strategies and communication campaigns. With more than 10 years of experience, he has provided a data-driven approach to support S&P 500 and FTSE 100 clients during times of corporate change, transactions, crises and market or societal disruptions. His work has helped clients adapt their messaging and communications effectively to address and mitigate reputational challenges.

Previously, Mr. Condon was based in London, where he established FTI Consulting’s research team to provide market intelligence and data-driven insights across the EMEA region. He co-founded FTI Consulting’s Resilience Barometer®, an award-winning research study which categorizes the risks and opportunities for companies across the G20. He has been recognized by industry peers, winning PRovoke Media’s The Holmes Report SABRE award for ‘Best Original Research for PR’ and being nominated for ‘Superior Achievement in Research and Planning’ in 2019 and 2020.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Condon worked for a corporate communications firm and a top-30 UK law firm and helped develop the messaging strategy for two of the principal campaigns in the 2014 and 2016 referenda in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Condon holds a B.A. in International Literature and Linguistics with Honors from Queen Mary, University of London. He is Market Research Society (“MRS”) trained, having been awarded a Distinction in the prestigious Market and Social Research qualification; holds a Certificate in Investor Relations (“CIR”) from the Investor Relations Society; and is PRINCE2 accredited in project management.
