Speed Liu

Speed Liu is a Senior Managing Director in the Business Transformation and Transactions practice within FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. With more than 20 years of experience in private equity driving growth strategies, turnaround plans and cost optimisation initiatives, Speed has substantial expertise advising on buyout transactions, business transformation and transactions across the consumer, service and industrials sectors.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Speed served as the Head of China for a global private equity firm’s Asia investment and operation team, with a focus on the consumer and business service sectors. Prior to that, he was a Principal at a global private equity firm based in Shanghai, where he led numerous successful investments. He began his career conduction financial analysis and equity research across multiple sectors.

Throughout his career, Speed has consistently demonstrated strong relationship management with founders and strategic partners, operational transformation of portfolio companies and value creation through strategic initiatives. His deep understanding of both Asian and global markets, combined with his expertise across multiple sectors, positions him as a highly accomplished investment professional with a proven ability to deliver returns while navigating complex cross-border transactions.
